Kate Moore
Immigration Law Fellow


   

Kate Moore works with Elliott Lichtman and Lilah Rosenblum in the immigration group.  She assists clients with temporary employment in the United States, permanent residence, naturalization and asylum issues.

Kate has focused her legal studies on public service, with a focus on human rights and refugee and asylum work.   While a law student, she served as president of the GW Equal Justice Foundation, and participated in the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics.  She has previous experience in immigration work, including research and analysis or applicable federal case law on issues concerning credibility, waivers of removal, material support bars and unlawful presence.  In 2009, she wrote a paper titled "Seeking Refuge from the Refugee Regime: U.S. Asylum Law and the Plight of Gender-Based Asylum Seekers."  She is currently seeking admission to the Virginia Bar.
